The first two units of the LDV D90 SUV have arrived in South Africa, marking the first international delivery of this new model outside China. These two models, the D90 Elite and D90 Flagship, are here for customer viewing and final testing. Customer deliveries are expected to begin in early Q4 2024.

The D90 SUV features a design similar to the T60 MAX, including a large front grille, thin LED daytime running lights, and large LED automatic headlights. All South African models come with the LDV Black Package, which includes gloss black door handles, side mirrors, roof rails, wheel arch mouldings, rear roof spoiler, window trim, and a connecting LED light bar at the rear.

Standard features in both models include electronic climate control for front and rear passengers, leather seats for all seven occupants, dual wireless charging pads with USB ports, and a 12.3-inch high-resolution infotainment system with Apple and Android connectivity. The D90 Flagship also includes massaging heated front seats, a panoramic sunroof, 20-inch diamond-cut alloy wheels, and a 12-speaker JBL sound system.

The D90 is powered by a 2.0-litre dual-turbodiesel engine with 160kW and 500Nm, paired with an 8-speed ZF automatic transmission. All models are 4×4 with Low Range. The Flagship model includes front and rear differential locks in addition to the Elite’s central differential lock.

Safety features include six airbags, adaptive cruise control, an inbuilt dash cam, automatic emergency braking, lane keep assist, and electronic stability control. The Flagship model also has a 360-degree panoramic view camera system. The D90 has received a five-star ANCAP safety rating. The D90 seats seven people comfortably, with a wheelbase of 2 950mm and a body length of 5 046mm. It can tow a braked trailer up to 3 100kg.

The D90 comes with a 5-year/200 000km mechanical warranty and a 5-year/100 000km service plan. Further details about the LDV D90 range will be released soon.
